Hi, I’m Valentine.
I'm French, I moved to New Zealand two years ago, and I had absolutely no plan to stay.
Then the mountains got me.
There's something about Queenstown that does that to people, you arrive for a season and then suddenly two years have passed and you've built a workshop and a brand and a life you didn't see coming.
I learned to sew from my grandma (and YouTube, I’m not gonna lie), my first project wasn't a tote bag or a cushion cover. It was a wedding dress. For my friend's wedding. No pressure.
After that, I figured a ski hood would be easy. It wasn't. Dozens of prototypes, countless hours tracking down the right fabric, and a tiny workshop in Queenstown later, I finally had the piece I'd been looking for!
Warm, practical, wearable three ways, and in whatever colors I wanted. Something that actually felt like mine.
Every Odle piece is made to order, by hand, right here in Queenstown. That means when you choose your colors and place your order, I make it for you.
It takes more time. It's worth it.
Odle started with two pieces I wanted for this winter. As it grows, there will be more (maybe this jacket…) but the way it's made will always stay the same.
